As of late there has been more contractual violations. We have notified the company and several grievances have been filed.
1. Crew Chiefs wanting to drop the radio without any window. ARTICLE 14
2. Suspensions not being paid because of CSO. ARTICLE 18
3.Crew Chief being used to cover open Crew Chief lines without following the agreements intent. ARTICLE 10.
GATE CLOSURE PROCESS
There is a problem with GATE B30 and management was moving the assigned clerks to other areas. Local 575 has an agreement dated back to November 2014 that can be found on our website (https://twulocal575.org/companyunionsafetyupdates/). We shared the document with the company now.
The negotiations on the AA side with the TWU/IAM “The Association” has not moved forward and is not looking positive. Although they were given monetary gains, they are all still working under a bankruptcy language contract where benefits and cross utilization is a big issue. Now some of their Locals are considering informational picketing events at different cities. As new information is shared with us we will pass on to you.
TERMINAL C CLOCK
We have not received any notice about Envoy employees not being allowed to use the clock. We asked the company and as today, we have not heard differently. If anyone is issued an attendance occurrence point, please notify a shop steward.
LESSON CS RESTRICTIONS
Restrictions have commenced and although the numbers are less than usual, local management will not rescind the suspension since it is a compliance matter and Regional Training (Piedmont- another wholly owned Regional of AAG) at HDQ monitors ALL TRAINING for EVERY REGIONAL COMPANY operating for AA.
READY TO PUSH
During the membership meeting last week we shared the plans AND a timeline for our NEXT EVENT! It is important for everyone to understand that our target is AAG, Doug Parker and The Board of Directors WHOM ARE THE ONES CONTROLLING THE MONEY. WE will continue to exchange, educate and share ideas such as an accurate pay scale, how they work and negotiated. The more you understand, the better it will be for everyone!
